Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman
Originally designed as a birthday present for director Billy Wilder, the 1956 Lounge chair was the Eames’ first design for the luxury market. This supremely comfortable chair has either sumptuously cushioned italian leather or environmentally conscious bonded leather seat pads and a wood-veneered plywood shell on aluminum supports with a cast aluminum base. Shock mounts allow the backrest and headrest to flex slightly in use.
Available in Rosewood, Palisander, Walnut and Black Ash, this mid century modern classic designer Lounge chair would suit any home or office environment. Perfect for lounging around or as a stylish feature piece.

*Bonded leather incorporates scraps of recycled leather remnants, which comprise between 10-20% of its content. The scraps of leather are made into a pulp and stuck to a fibre or paper backer which is then coated with polyurethane and embossed to give it the appearance of genuine leather.
